DEARBORN, Michigan — The redesigned 2015 Ford Expedition SUV starts at $44,585, including a $1,195 destination charge, reflecting a $1,415 price increase over the 2014 model, according to the vehicle configurator at Ford.com.
The new 2015 Ford Expedition Platinum series starts at $59,145, including shipping. The new King Ranch edition starts at $58,185, including shipping.
This is the latest Ford nameplate to offer the high-end Platinum series. The Platinum series has been popular with Ford F-Series truck buyers, the automaker said.
Ford's Expedition Platinum includes a choice of Brunello leather-appointed seats in a new red wine color with tuxedo-stripe accents and French-seamed stitching or Ebony leather-appointed seats with Agate Gray accents.
The long-wheelbase 2015 Ford Expedition XLT EL starts at $47,295, including shipping.
The eight-passenger 2015 Expedition is on sale now at Ford dealerships.
The redesigned Expedition is only offered with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine in North America. The engine is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission. Ford's 5.4-liter V8 engine has been deleted from the lineup.
Exterior changes include optional halogen projector headlights and LED foglamps, along with a new wheel lineup topped by optional 22-inch polished aluminum wheels for Limited, King Ranch and Platinum models.
