2015 Dodge Grand Caravan Earns Four-Star Safety Rating From Federal Government

WASHINGTON — The 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan minivan earned a four-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Five stars is the highest rating.

The Grand Caravan received four stars in the front crash test, five stars in the side crash test and four stars in the rollover crash test.

The Grand Caravan is on sale now at Dodge dealerships.

Daytime running lights have been added as standard equipment to all 2015 Grand Caravan models.

Standard safety equipment also includes seven airbags, including a driver-side knee blocker airbag, along with electronic stability control, antilock brakes and traction control.

An optional Safety Sphere package adds a ParkSense rear park-assist system, rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring system, rear cross-path detection system and rain-sensing wipers.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety awarded the 2014 Grand Caravan an overall "good" rating, but has not yet rated the 2015 Grand Caravan.

Key Grand Caravan competitors include the Honda Odyssey, Kia Sedona, Nissan Quest and Toyota Sienna.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers should note that the 2015 Honda Odyssey earned the top five-star safety rating from NHTSA. The 2015 Kia Sedona, Nissan Quest and Toyota Sienna have not been rated.
