2015 Dodge Challenger Earns Five-Star Safety Rating From Federal Government


WASHINGTON — The 2015 Dodge Challenger coupe earned the top five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

On sale now at Dodge dealers, the 2015 Challenger received four stars in the front crash test, five stars in the side crash test and four stars in the rollover crash test.

Dodge's 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat has not been rated.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not rated the 2015 Challenger.

Standard safety equipment includes seven airbags, including a driver's knee airbag, traction control and antilock brakes.

Key Challenger competitors include the Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang and Nissan 370Z.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers should note that the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro earned the top five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA. The 2015 Ford Mustang and Nissan 370Z have not been rated.
