DALLAS — The 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban Z71 editions will arrive at Chevrolet dealerships this fall.

The Z71 package includes a front skid plate, off-road tires on 18-inch wheels, a unique grille, running boards and Z71 badges.

Other details include fog lamps, front tow hooks and front parking assist.

Pricing on the Z1 editions has not been announced.

GM rolled out the special trucks at the Texas State Fair.

The Z71 package is available on 2015 Tahoe and Suburban LT models with four-wheel drive, with vehicles produced starting in October, the automaker said.

First offered on Tahoe and Suburban models in 2001, the Z71-equipped models recently accounted for 10 percent of Tahoe and Suburban sales.

The Tahoe Z71 competes with high-end versions of the Ford Expedition, GMC Yukon, Nissan Armada and Toyota Sequoia.

The Suburban Z71 targets high-end versions of the Ford Expedition EL, Honda Pilot, Nissan Armada and Toyota Land Cruiser.

Edmunds says: In years past, the Z71 package was available on models with two-wheel-drive suspensions, but not for the 2015 Tahoe and Suburban.
