2015 Chevrolet Cruze Earns Five-Star Safety Rating From Federal Government

WASHINGTON The 2015 Chevrolet Cruze Compact Sedan earned the top five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The Cruze received five stars in the front and side crash tests and four stars in the rollover crash test.

Standard safety equipment on the 2015 Cruze includes 10 airbags, counting knee airbags for front passengers. Optional safety equipment includes blind-zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, rear park assist and a rearview camera.

The 2015 Cruze is expected to arrive at Chevy dealerships later this fall.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not rated the 2015 Cruze.

Key competitors to the Cruze include the Dodge Dart, Ford Focus, Honda Civic and Volkswagen Jetta.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers should note that the 2015 Honda Civic Sedan, Dodge Dart and Volkswagen Jetta also earned the top five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA. The 2015 Ford Focus has not been rated.
