DETROIT The 2015 Buick Encore compact SUV starts at $24,990, including a $925 destination charge, reflecting a $95 price decrease over the 2014 model, according to the vehicle configurator at Buick.com.

Buick's top-of-the-line 2015 Encore Premium Group starts at $30,360, including shipping, reflecting a $470 price increase over the 2014 model.

The 2015 Encore is on sale now at Buick dealerships.

This is a carryover vehicle with minimal changes for the new model year. The Encore gets new OnStar with 4G LTE and standard built-in Wi-Fi hotspot for improved connectivity. The hotspot is on whenever the vehicle is on and comes with a three-month/3GB data trial.

The Encore is equipped with a 138-horsepower 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine linked to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Key Encore rivals include the Ford Escape, Mini Cooper Countryman and Nissan Juke.
