NEW YORK — The all-new 2015 BMW M4 Convertible will start at $73,425, including a $925 destination charge, when it arrives at dealerships this summer.
It will debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show.
The 2015 M4 convertible costs $8,300 more than the 2015 BMW M4 Coupe, a companion model. The M4 Coupe starts at $65,125, including shipping. The 2015 BMW M3 Sedan starts at $62,925, including shipping.
The M4 convertible features a three-piece retractable hardtop that lowers via a push-button in 20 seconds and can be dropped when the car is traveling at speeds of up to 11 mph.
"The BMW M4 convertible replicates the performances of the BMW M4 coupe and the BMW M3 Sedan, but emphasizes its stylish and distinctive appearance through its retractable hardtop that places open-top driving at center stage," said BMW in a statement.
Competitors to the M4 Convertible include the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible, 2014 Porsche Boxster S and 2014 Lexus IS C.
Edmunds says: The BMW M4 convertible carries a hefty premium over the M4 coupe, but buyers will have bragging rights to one of the most talked-about German convertibles of the year.
