2015 Audi RS 5 Coupe Sport Edition Priced at $88,500

HERNDON, Virginia — The limited-edition 2015 Audi RS 5 Coupe Sport starts at $88,500, including a $925 destination charge, Audi announced in late December.

Only 75 vehicles will be built for the U.S. by Audi's performance division as part of the brand's exclusive customization program.

In comparison, the base Audi RS 5 coupe starts at $71,825, including shipping.

The RS 5 Coupe Sport is expected to arrive at U.S. Audi dealerships early next year.

Offered in Daytona Gray or Nardo Gray, the RS 5 Coupe Sport features 20-inch V-spoke wheels, red brake calipers and a black and red Nappa leather cockpit. Sport seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel have red contrast stitching.

The RS 5 powertrain team combines a 450-horsepower 4.2-liter V8 with a seven-speed S tronic transmission with launch control. The car also is fitted with all-wheel drive, electronic torque vectoring and a crown-gear center differential.

The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and BMW M4 are the chief rivals of the Audi RS 5 Coupe.

Edmunds says: This special model adds a touch of exclusivity to the RS 5 Coupe lineup.
