2015 Audi Q3 Recalled for Sunroof Problem

WASHINGTON Volkswagen Group of America is recalling 3,646 2015 Audi Q3 SUVs to fix a problem with the sunroof, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

"If the vehicle is turned off while the sunroof is closing, the sunroof may continue to close instead of stopping," said NHTSA in its recall summary. "If the sunroof is closing while the vehicle is shut off and a vehicle occupant is in its path, there is an increased risk of injury."

VW told federal safety regulators there are no accidents or injuries linked to the recall.
The problem was discovered during "routine testing."

The affected Q3s were built from April 4, 2014 to November 5, 2014.

Audi dealers will update the sunroof control module. The recall began on April 13. Owners can contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834.

Edmunds says: If you own one of these Q3s, it's time to make a service appointment with your dealer.
