2015 Audi A3 Advertising Campaign Kicks Off, With Help From Queen

HERNDON, Virginia The new advertising campaign for the 2015 Audi A3 debuted on Monday, featuring Queen's "We Are the Champions."

The 2015 Audi A3 arrives in U.S. showrooms on April 3.

The campaign stars several celebrities, including comedian Ricky Gervais and celebrity chef David Chang. The automaker said it wanted to showcase "fearless individuals" in the A3's ad campaign.

"Building off the 'Stay Uncompromised' theme that debuted during the Super Bowl, the new campaign for the Audi A3 celebrates fearless individuals who refuse to compromise, whether they're entertainers, athletes or Audi engineers," said Loren Angelo, Audi of America director of marketing, in a statement.

The campaign also highlights the 4G LTE connectivity in the 2015 A3. A 30-second spot features Gervais and a child in the backseat reading unflattering Twitter updates about the comic.

A 15-second spot dubbed "Hugs Corners" focuses on the brand's Quattro all-wheel-drive technology.

The A3 campaign is a critical one for the brand. The entry-level A3 takes aim at the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and represents a major push by the German automaker to bring younger buyers into showrooms.
