TUCSON, Arizona — For the fifth year, Jim Click Automotive Team of Tucson in southern Arizona is holding a charity raffle, but this year is different. The car being raffled is a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, and 300 charities are getting funds from the proceeds.
The Million for Tucson Raffle will hand over 100 percent of its proceeds to local charities, according to Lisa Duqmaq, the dealer's contributions coordinator.
Duqmaq told Edmunds that it's part of Jim Click's "mission?to help build our community, and the more involvement, the better the chance of lifting it up."
Click himself will draw the "lucky raffle ticket" on Thursday, November 13, she said.
Tickets are priced at $25 or five for $100. Each of the charities gets to keep all the money they raise through ticket sales. The maximum number of tickets will be capped at 50,000, the dealer said.
Jim Click Automotive Team and its affiliated Holmes Tuttle group operates 13 full-service dealerships in and around Tucson, Arizona. In addition to Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge vehicles, the dealerships sell Ford, Lincoln, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, and Nissan vehicles.
Edmunds says: Fifty thousand raffle ticket buyers will remember this dealer's name.
