CHICAGO The 2014 Hyundai Veloster RE:FLEX Edition, a special version of the sporty little hatchback, debuted at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show and will arrive at dealerships this spring.

Pricing has not been announced. The base 2014 Hyundai Veloster starts at $18,610, including an $810 destination charge.

The Korean automaker will build just 3,000 Veloster RE:FLEX Edition cars.

Details include projector headlights with LED accents, LED taillights, illuminated door sills and 18-inch alloy wheels with a PVD chrome finish, along with chrome hood accents, chrome door handles and RE:FLEX badging. The special model also features black or red full leather seating.

Other standard equipment includes piano black interior accents, a Dimension premium audio system with eight speakers, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, alloy pedals and an automatic up driver's window. A rearview camera is standard equipment.

The RE:FLEX Edition is available in exclusive Ice Pearl exterior paint. Other color choices include Century White, Vitamin C, Ultra Black and Boston Red.

The RE:FLEX Edition is equipped with a 132-horsepower 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and six-speed EcoShift dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Veloster competes with the Honda CR-Z, Mini Cooper, Scion tC and Volkswagen Beetle.
