TORRANCE, California A new advertising campaign for the 2014 Honda Civic Coupe and Si Coupe is designed to be an antidote to the "typical negative news cycle," according to Honda.

The campaign, which is dubbed "One More Thing To Love About Today," is inspiring and optimistic.

"This new Civic campaign connects with a new generation of buyers by prompting them to focus on the positive and consider what they love about today," said Mike Accavitti, American Honda Motor Co. senior vice president of auto operations.

Honda's new campaign is reminiscent of a similar one launched by Volkswagen during the 2013 Super Bowl. In that effort, VW urged viewers to "Get In. Get Happy."

The 2014 Honda Civic is on sale now.
