WASHINGTON — The 2014-'15 Audi Allroad wagon earned the top five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Allroad received five stars in the front and side crash tests and four stars in the rollover crash test.

The 2015 Allroad is on sale now at Audi dealerships in the U.S.

Standard safety equipment on the Allroad includes six airbags, antilock brakes, electronic stability control and traction control. Optional safety equipment includes Audi side assist, which helps to monitor blind-spot areas, and Audi adaptive cruise control.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not rated the Allroad.

Key competitors to the Allroad include the BMW X1, Land Rover LR2 and Subaru Outback.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers should note that federal crash-test ratings on the 2015 BMW X1, Land Rover LR2 and Subaru Outback have not been posted.
