XLR - The Complete Personal Car
By Ex Allante Owner on

2004 Cadillac XLR 2dr Roadster (4.6L 8cyl 5A)

Traded my 93 Allante on a Black XLR and
wonder now why I didn't do it sooner.
The integration of Navigation, XM
Radio, HUD, Adaptive Cruise Control and
all the other features makes a terrific
total package. Ride & handling and
performance are outstanding. Using the
Vette chassis was a great engineering
decision. The stiffness really helps
the handling.
This is a complete vehicle. Has
everything I want in a personal vehicle.
Just retirned from a trip to the
mountains of NC. The manual trans.
feature was a great step forward from
the old method of downshifting an auto

Best Features

The excellent packaging of all the great Cadillac features: Navigation, XM Radio, HUD,etc. The manual trans mode., ease of dropping top, exterior design. Adaptive Cruise Control.

Worst Features

Ashtray (for wife) like Olds (but with light)that fits in cupholder, but shorter so cover will close over it. Lighted controls for wiper & light stalks like all other controls. Thin foam coverings in stowage compartments to eliminate rattles from contents.
