Great car for the money

1998 Cadillac Eldorado 2dr Coupe

The Eldorado is a timelessly stylish
looking car with great power and
agility. Just 1 mechanical
problem in 7.5 years and GM covered 1/2
the cost even after the warranty
expired. Northstar engine is strong
and reliable, and the power steering
is easier than any car you'll find. I
tested the Eldorado against a Mercedes
CLK430, a Volvo C70, a Jaguar XK8, a
Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, a Ford TBird,
and the choice was easy. The Jag is the
only 1 that looks better, and it cost
over twice as much. None of them had
the Northstar's quickness. Cadillac
quality is back. If you need traction,
front wheel drive still rules.

Best Features

Northstar 275 hp engine, very easy power steering, beautiful shiny paint job even after 7.5 yrs

Worst Features

Window seals not quite tight enough, and interior trim loosens over the years; Cadillac should work on detail quality.
