This is the car for people who like to
drive and don't have any desire to
impress anyone, with the exception of
young car enthusiasts who when you pass
them will invariably give you
the "thumbs up" and not "the finger".
Everyone else will wonder how your
grandmother's car can go so fast around
Speed, safety, control, quality.
Interactive radio and navigation
conrols could be simpler, How about a
regular dial to turn to get the next
station without having to fumble
through a menu?
I keep telling myself this car is
impractical, it's bad in the snow, I
pay huge taxes to own it in
Connecticut, it's not so great on gas,
it's even had a couple of problems with
the VANOS system (promptly and
apologetically repaired while I drove a
loaner 5-series), but in the end,
Ican't part with her. This car is so
nimble yet so rock-steady, so fluid yet
so precise that I can't ever imagine
being happy with another car. I'm just
spoiled for life now.
My favorite feature is the car's
amazing ability to brake quickly from
130 to 65 ;-). This car seems
practically invisible to cops. Maybe
it's the Blue Water color.
Wish they would have left out the
cupholders altogether. It's offensive
to have these cheap little
accoutrements in an otherwise so solid
and elegant a vehicle. Navigation and
radio systems are weird and hard to
use. Guidance is darn near worthless.
