2025 BMW X3 30 xDrive 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl Turbo gas/electric mild hybrid 8A)
I have driven BMW's for over 40 years and get new BMW's often. We have had numerous 3 and 5 series cars, X3, X4, and X5's, 3 M3's one M5. We have had every generation of X3 both 4 and 6 cylinder models and loved them all, until the 2025 model. The car drives and performs great but the infotainment, navigation, displays and Climate control is just awful! Controls and displays can be … figured out while sitting still but while driving nearly every function requires extra effort and is very distracting to the point of dangerous. Even adjusting the AC vents is clumsy. This is not a learning curve issue, it is the ability to operate functions while driving on a long road trip at high speeds. This car puts me in a bad mood every time I get in it. There are completely useless displays for driving modes with artwork that I must scroll through at every startup to get the tach display with sport mode. The driving assistance changes the following distance at random while using the active cruise control. The tactile feel of any selections on the center console panel and steering wheel buttons is poor and they do not always work. An example is activation or de activating cruise control. Voice commands are a joke. We traded in a 2023 X3 and I wish we had it back.
