FRANKLIN, Tennessee — When Nissan's premium brand in August rolled out the first model in the new Infiniti Performance Line, the 2011 Infiniti IPL G Coupe, it said the new series was aimed primarily at North America but that it is considering other markets and additional models. With the pre-show release of the IPL G Convertible Concept ahead of the 2010 Paris Auto Show this week, Infiniti delivers on both counts.
The company released few details on the convertible, other than to say it would feature an IPL-tuned V6, exhaust and suspension plus 19-inch alloy wheels and a red leather interior.
The IPL G Coupe, which is powered by a 348-horsepower version of Nissan's 3.7-liter V6, is slated to go on sale at U.S. dealers in December.
