The new Outlander will come in both gasoline and diesel versions in Europe. It is slated to go on sale initially in Russia, one of the key growth markets for Mitsubishi. Later in the year, it will be introduced in Japan, China, North America and the rest of Europe.
Among the safety technologies to be offered in the new Outlander are forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning.
For the European market, buyers will be able to choose from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine or a 2.2-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel.
