ReviewWe've had our new Q5 for a month. We've driven an Acura MDX for awhile and love it. In terms of comfort and driving experience though, the Q5 is several steps beyond the Acura! Extremely quiet, firm comfortable ride, nimble handling, plenty of power from the 2.0T - even up the step grade of I-70 west of Denver. And, so far good gas mileage, about as advertised, but much better than our Acura. The tech'y stuff takes a little getting used to, Nav, Bluetooth, media, and personal/car settings. The car is a perfect size for a couple of empty nesters who will use this car on trips ... might be tad small for a family trip!
Best FeaturesThe fit and finish of the interior is incredible. The instrument cluster is well laid out, and the center console and navigation screen are slightly oriented toward the driver. The Bang and Olufsen optional sound system will make you want to simply sit in your car just to listen to music ... it's that good! The engine is very responsive in normal drive and there is only the slightest turbo lag and only if you ease onto the gas pedal from a stop. The 8 speed transmission shifts smoothly and quietly in drive mode ... you don't feel a thing. Put the car in sport mode, and you feel the shifts and the acceleration, but also watch your MPG's nose dive!
Worst FeaturesOne nit picky item .. I don't like the position of the cruise control lever ... it will take some getting used to. And while not a suggestion for improvement, spend time getting to know this car and its controls/tech .... you don't want to be fiddling around trying to figure stuff out while you are driving
