2027 Audi Q3

The Audi Q3 received a complete redesign last year, adopting the latest design and technology first seen in Audi's other SUVs. It also gets a powerful standard engine, which provides the Q3 with quicker acceleration than non-luxury small SUVs. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about its interior, which looks anonymous and is put together with unremarkable materials — if you've previously owned Audis, you may be disappointed. Put head-to-head, it's hard to see how the Q3 is more premium than a top-trim Volkswagen Tiguan or Mazda CX-50. The Q3's behavior at low speeds is also unrefined, with a touchy brake pedal and oddly surging forward creep that makes it hard to drive smoothly. We do like that the Q3 comes loaded with standard equipment, but it's probably worth checking out the competition before making a final decision.  

The 2027 Audi Q3 is a subcompact SUV with seating for five. It's offered in a single trim level with a handful of bundled option packages. Under the hood is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine (255 horsepower, 273 lb-ft of torque) that is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard.

Edmunds still has not fully rated this generation of the Audi Q3. Based on initial experiences with it, we are disappointed with the interior design and the reliability of its technology. It's also quite noisy, and you might find the ride quality overly firm for a luxury SUV. As such, we recommend you check out the BMW X1 and X2 that top Edmunds' extra-small luxury SUV leaderboard. The Mercedes-Benz GLA and GLB are set to be redesigned for 2027, and since the GLB in particular was previously our top-rated entry in the segment, it should be considered a must-drive alternative. The upper trim levels of the Mazda CX-50 and Volkswagen Tiguan are also viable, less expensive options.
