2024 Audi e-tron GT

Audi's e-tron lineup of electric vehicles skews heavily toward utility, with one exception: the 2024 e-tron GT, a sedan with eye-catching styling and impressive performance. The e-tron GT shares a lot of its EV hardware with the Porsche Taycan. Compared to the Porsche, the e-tron GT puts a little more emphasis on comfort. But rest assured, there's still plenty of enjoyment to be had from driving this evocative Audi.

The e-tron GT's direct competition comes from its platform mate, the Porsche Taycan. The Taycan is more of a performance specialist than the Audi, with crisper handling and a more playful nature. Also sitting in this price range are some larger EV sedan alternatives with less of a performance focus but larger cabins and superior range: the BMW i7, Lucid Air and Mercedes-Benz EQS. Tesla's Model S continues to be worth a look too.

The e-tron GT has dual electric motors. There's one for the front and one for the rear, and they combine to give the e-tron GT standard all-wheel drive. They also provide excellent performance, with up to an available 522 horsepower. But if your priority is range, then it might be better to look elsewhere. EPA-estimated range is only 238 miles, though on the Edmunds' real-world range test it beat that handily by covering 273 miles. But that still puts it behind most sedan competitors in this price range.
