look elsewhere
I loved this car for it's exterior design although the interior design feels cheap(it's same just a Volkswagen). I had so many problems with this car I don't even know where to start. It won't accelarate when entering freeway.. dealder replace turbo related crcuit borad and the problem came back three times now. I sent a letter to Audi under New Jersey's Lemon law. I hope I can get my money back. Numourous rattles coming from all over the place. and I can't believe I bougth a 30K 1.8 liter car..total lack of power. interior design is so busy.. distracting red light all over the place. this near luxury car is cheaper than competition 'cause it's cheaply made
Take Warning
This car is worthless. The electrical system has been shot since day one. My car has been in the shop 61 days and counting and Audi refuses to do anything about it. Ask your salesman why they include a manual crank for the sunroof. It's because they can't design a good electrical system. No one should own one of these after the warrenty ends. You would have to be a millionaire to keep up with the cost.

2004.5 Ultrasport better than a Benz!
When I first saw the Silver 2004.5 Audi A4 with the Ultrasport package, I said to myself, I got to have it!! So, I sold my 1994 Mercedes Benz CLK320 and got bought one of the first A4 Ultrasport in the SF Bay area. I love the exterior look (especially after Audi FINALLY decided to paint the lower body panels) and the interior quality. The ride is a little stiff and the power could be more. But, nothing that couldn't be fixed with lowering the tire pressure and chipping the ECU (i.e. reprogramming the engine computer for more turbo boost). I got the APR Direct-port programming for 209hp and 236lb-ft torque!! Summary: After chipping, the car is perfect!
California Dream
Absolute fun to drive! Room for 4 adults. Simple, clean trim. Sport package is a must. A bit underpowered at lower speeds, but the fun factor easily compensates for power issues.
Great Little Car
Have had my newest love for two months and 4,000 miles. Single touch up/down top with glass back window and a covered boot is superior. Stock sound system is as good as BMW's Harmon Kardon. This is a sloooow car. Replaced my 2002 Honda S2000 which was fast but a bit hard on the body. Compares more than favorably to my 1999 323 BMW convertible with one exception.
