I have only about 500 miles on the
car, but I'm thrilled with it. Looked
at the G35, Audi A4, and a few others
not worth mentioning. But I love that
the car is fully loaded; the design is
refined, it's a blast to drive. Get
the 6-speed manual! If it's reliable,
I'll never go back to Audis and VWs.
Audio system, performance, smooth,
Trunk is small -- smaller than my old
Jetta's. Blind spots in rear.
2004 Acura TL Sedan 3.2 4dr Sedan w/Summer Tires and Navigation System (3.2L 6cyl 6M)
The addition of the A-Spec really tightens up this
vehicle. Installing stiffer springs and struts lowers
the auto approximately 1 inch, and thus the center
of gravity is also redistrubuted (lower). This makes
for outstanding cornering capability and a much
more "solid" ride. There is not a significant
difference in ride "feel" from the standard TL when
traveling on straight and level surfaces, but the
modified vehicle really shines in the corners and
during acceleration. The fit and trim is outstanding
and rear passengers report the ride and seating is
ultra comfortable. Acura has a winner with this car!
Blue tooth capability for mobile phones that
support the protocol. DVD-Audio and the ultra
large (8-inch) DVD LCD navigation screen.
Remote mounted audio mute button on the
steering wheel. A Heads-Up-Display (HUD) for
appropriate driver information. Digital speed
readout on the instrument cluster and selectable
on the DVD navigation screen. Turbo-charge the
3.2 and BMW will sit up and take notice!
I have enjoyed each day I have driven
my TL! Great response, comfortable,
great handling,and XM radio--just the
best! I only wish it took regular gas
since gas prices are so high now. Great
fun to drive--especially after many
years as a van or a SUV driver.
Hit the door remote twice and the all
windows lower--Great in the hot South!
and of course, XM radio--the sound
system is the best.
Inside of the doors get dirty--never
had a car where this happens.
2004 Acura TL Sedan 3.2 4dr Sedan w/Navigation System (3.2L 6cyl 5A)
I traded in a BMW 540i, because of the
reviews and value. In every respect,
except performance, the TL has been
well worth the move. It rides more
comfortably, is easier to drive, but
still maintains the solid character of
the German cars. If outright
performance (read: boy racer) is less
important (I have accepted I am no
longer 23), then there is very little
you give up in owning the TL (except an
Ride, Navigation system and Stereo.
Parking Brake location and no door
protection for dings in parking lots.
