1998 Acura SLX 4dr SUV 4WD
This is the best SUV ever made. It
has plenty of cargo room, power, can
actually go off road, and yet swadles
the passengers with luxury.
It is also tough and durable --- six
years later, people ask me if it is
the "new" Acura SUV, as no one has
ever seen one.
The driver's and passenger's seats are
very comfortable, yet hug you.
I only wish they still made them.
When the wheels fall off mine in
another 100,000 or so miles, I will be
hunting for another.
I have owned my 1998 SLX for six years
now. All I have ever done is put oil
and gas in it -- nothing has ever
broken, squeaked, or given any trouble.
It is great and I highly recommend it
This is a leather-gilded SUV that did
not forget that is is a truck, and yet
is not too cumbersome like a Tahoe or
Sequoia. It has LOTS of interior room
and great features.
In 1999, Acura caved to reviewers that
wanted more "car like" SUV --
essentially minivans. Acura should
have stuck with the un-apoligetic
GREAT TRUCK, NICE FEATURES, GREAT
Great truck, everyone who rides with me
is amazed by the comfortable ride, the
interior amenities. #1 comment
is "It's like riding in a limousine!"
Good looking truck, if you ask me.
Big tires for good traction, 4-wheel
drive is outstanding & engine response
is effortless. Stereo is awesome,
sunroof is sublime, leather interior is
plush but not overdone.
Gas mileage is the pits, even with oil
additives. The air conditioner takes
awhile to get going.
This thing is great. 4 wheel drives
works well, and holds plenty of gear
in the back. It does not handle like a
BMW but no SUV does.
Unique - not too many around
Plenty of cargo room
I 2nd the air condition comment. Takes
too long to cool down, but it's minor.
I like every things else
