Brake torque seems to help very little off the line. Neither "Sport" mode nor manual shifting seem to quicken acceleration times. Sub-7-second raw 0-60 times are impressive, however.
Impressively, the MDX managed to avoid the usual fourth-run Honda brake fade by actually shortening its distance. Nice.
Skid pad: Can feel rear torque distribution working here and it does its job by intuitively pointing the MDX where its driver wants it to go. Slalom: Impressively athletic for a three-row SUV. These numbers eclipse the AWD CX-9. Solid, responsive and impressive performance. A joy to drive.
