Edmunds.com to Expand Data and IT Departments Under New CIO Scott Sullivan

Former Yahoo! And Homestore.com Executive to Tackle New Initiatives for Automotive Internet Leader

SANTA MONICA, CALIF. - October 20, 2004 - Seasoned technology executive Scott Sullivan has joined Edmunds.com, the premier online resource for automotive information, as Chief Information Officer, responsible for managing and expanding the company's data and information technology successes.

Sullivan starts this week, bringing with him nearly two decades of broad based technology, business and financial expertise. In his new role, he will oversee more than 100 Edmunds.com employees in critical areas such as data architecture, development, technical operations, project management and quality assurance.

"Scott has proven to be extremely effective in establishing strong, highly motivated technology teams that meet aggressive deadlines at a high level of efficiency," stated Avi Steinlauf, Chief Operating Officer at Edmunds.com, to whom Sullivan reports. "We are confident that his leadership, expertise and enthusiasm will propel our success with the projects currently underway and the many still under development."

Sullivan is expected to grow his department as needed to address the company's continuous development of automotive consumer and business-to-business tools and services. There will be additional opportunities for Java and Oracle developers as well as quality assurance engineers in the coming months.

Previously, Sullivan was Senior Vice President of Technology and Operations at Yahoo! / Overture Services. Earlier, he served as Vice President of Technology Operations at Homestore.com and Director of Global Information Services at QAD. Sullivan earned his Bachelor of Science from California State University, Long Beach, and resides in La Canada.
