Edmunds.com Now Available via iPhone App
SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- October 12, 2010 -- Edmunds.com, the premier online resource for automotive information, today announces that some of the most popular car-shopping tools of its Web site are now available as an iPhone app through the iTunes store at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/edmunds/id393630966.
With the new app, consumers can:
- Configure a car and e-mail its details as an "Edmunds.com Window Sticker."
- Check Edmunds.com's True Market Value® (TMV®) price to determine the right price to target when negotiating with dealers - and show it to them on the iPhone.
- Search new car inventory listings and dealer ratings to quickly learn where to buy a new car.
- Save research, inventory and dealers to "Favorites" screen for easy access.
- Browse hi-res photos optimized for the iPhone 4
More features such as Facebook sharing and vehicle reviews, as well as an app for Android, will be introduced in the coming weeks.
"It's hard to imagine a more powerful tool to have on hand at the car dealership, given that the app makes accessible the most useful elements of the Edmunds.com site," commented Stephen Gandee, Edmunds.com's Vice President of Mobile & Emerging Technology. "And we tried to make some elements of the app fun for people who just enjoy looking at cars."
