The Santa Monica-based company has encouraged its 412 employees to use the time off to volunteer for one of the many Earth Day programs intended to better the Southern California environment, including the following:

Additionally, Edmunds' "Green Committee" is currently collecting data on the tire pressure of its employees' vehicles in order to determine and educate how much fuel could be saved if the tires were properly inflated. Each employee was given a tire pressure gauge, and the company will continually remind employees about this simple yet meaningful step toward energy efficiency.
