My guess is that the BT hardware in the car is going to always be "fixed" as is from the factory. The part that can be changed is the software on the phone. I just got a myTouch 4G from T-Mobile and although it connects though Bluetooth, it immediately disconnects after a few seconds. My old cell phone connected just fine. T-Mobile blames Volvo. Where do you think the problem lies? I'm guessing the 4G phone has new features related to Bluetooth so perhaps the car's Bluetooth software needs updating? Looking at the Costco program as well. It is not a lease as I understand it. It is employee pricing less $500 and a $500 Costco card. This looks like it amounts to about a $3,500 savings off MSRP. The 2010 Volvo XC60 has gotten very good reviews overall in the mass media and, IMHO, is impressive. One negative is the so-so mileage on the original 3.0L turbo AWD version (16 city/22 highway). Yeah, the XC70 guy really is a Buick guy LOL. Options are cheaper on the XC60 because Volvo can sell more of them in the US. The more of something you can sell, the cheaper it becomes to build it. 3.2 FWD is coming in 30-60 days. Price starts under $33,000(plus Destination) AWD probably $2000 more. Less std equipment than the T6. Leather and the sunroof are an option.

I guess I would characterize the XC 60 ride as 'stiff' rather than rough...no vibration like our old '04 C70 'vert...just not very compliant over uneven pavement. Back in the old days(2005), we swapped the 17" wheels/tires off the 'vert and put them on the V70...helped the C 70 vibration and added a little 'something' to the wagon. the XC70 is a niche product at this point. The people that buy them don't want an SUV. XC60 is aimed at people who WANT an SUV. The fact that the XC70 carries the incentives it carries and the XC60 doesn't speaks to the relative strengths of each model.

I think the XC60 and XC/V70 will appeal to different demographics. That's certainly Volvo's intent. People have been moving away from traditional wagons to SUVs/CUVs since the nineties; leaving behind a small group of predominantly late forties and older buyers in wagons. Consequently, XC70 and (especially) V70 owners are among the oldest Volvo buyers. March was only 4 months away from the start of the 2010 model year, so I'm not surprised that an '08 XC70 would be very deeply discounted. Afterall, it's nearly 2 years old. Errr, no. The XC70 doesn't even have leather seats standard on either the 3.2 or T6. You need the $3K premium package to get leather or a sunroof. Then there are thousands of dollars more for other packages (climate, convenience, technology, collision avoidance) and standalone options, such as the $2K navigation system. With a Volvo loyalty rebate a new XC70 which incidentally comes mostly fully loaded (i.e, there are few options) is in fact 31K-32K most any weekend at any Volvo dealer in New England.
