2002 Volvo V70 2.4 Fwd 4dr Wagon (2.4L 5cyl 5M)

Review

We've had the non turbo automatic
version for 1.5 years. Its a very
smooth touring car, I think its the
best wagon available at a near
reasonable price. Quite comfortable
although the seats are only OK, those
in my other 3 European cars all fit me
better (tall/slim). Overall its been an
excellent reliable car with just a few
minor design issues.

Best Features

The superb automatic trans makes even my non-turbo very peppy around town, OK on highway. In summer with AC I averaged 30 mpg at 79 on the cruise (regular gas works fine despite the manual).

Worst Features

Suspension should be firmer to reduce wallowing. All controls need better feel. Interior plasticy for the price, every time you close the door the handle groans. Given Volvo's safe reputation, I'm surprised at the minimal visibility and dim backup lighting.
