Interestingly enough, a number of years ago I believe that I read an article about how a manufacturer, and if my memory is correct it was a Swedish manufacturer like Volvo or Saab before they were bought out, that conducted moose crash tests on new ... Ok, I hit an elk with my old car so am now in the need of a new car quickly. I live up in the mountains in Colorado and am looking at the 2008 V50 T5AWD. Volvo V50 Vs. BMW 3 series wagon

What do you see as the differences. I"m wanting to buy a new wagon for 2008. I currently have a BMW 5 series sport wagon, but want to downsize and save on gas miledge also. Any thoughts from anyone who as test drove or researched both the new 2008's? or 2007's? -- but mostly interested in 2008's.

HI What is the money factor and residual value for a V50 in NY with 15K per year and a 36 or 39 month lease. I read in Automotive News that dealers are getting up to $2250 in incentives. I had that confirmed with a salesman. Thanks RXKE

Volvo's international website has extensive information on the 2008 V50: http://www.volvocars.com/All-Cars/Volvo-V50/ The cosmetic changes are admittedly minor. A number of new exterior colors will be available, although not all will probably be offered for US market cars.
