The ABS/TRACS lights come on together when there is a fault in the ABS control module. Eventually the ABS will kick in when you're trying to stop at a normal rate and could possibly greatly increase the stopping distance. I speak from experienceâif I hadn't stopped in time the old man in the Lincoln in front of me would've been peeved. The dealership will quote you some obscene figure, but there are several reputable people who repair the modules for around $120. You'll have to live without a speedometer while it's being fixed (speedo won't work if the ABS module is missing), but it's cheaper than rear-ending someone. If you still have the car I suggest you get it fixed soon.Report it
