Re: 2008 S40 [sandman_6472]
My Volvo is a 2006 T5 S40...the power seats are great ...some of the best out there. They are firm with good bolsters and a lumbar adjustment. You might think of the Civic as a lightweight S40. Both are very good cars. The Volvo weighs more, is more quiet, and feels more solid. Gas milage is 22+city /30+ highway when driven at the legal speeds. Since the seat is a major ... Read More...
Re: Not open to debate [mayberryguy]
5.Volvo=Ford This is again a sign of limited understanding of several brand factors. Ford owns Volvo, and nothing more. Some people out there purchase a Ford Focus 2008 and believe they have a Volvo. Because the T5 engine and the S40 chassis is so good, they use it in the Focus ST. But that is all. The electronics used in the S40 is high grade - high end extreme 0.001 ... Read More...
Re: S40 current offers [paulsaz]
Hi paulsaz. Volvo is not currently providing any lease support on the 2008 S40. It does have cash incentives on it though. In addition to the $500 gas allowance that you mentioned, Volvo is providing $1,500 dealer cash on the '08 S40 this month. The '09 model has the $500 gas allowance and $500 dealer cash. S40 current offers
Is Volvo offering any deals on the 2008 or 2009 S40? I can only find the $500 gas allowance. My current lease through VFNA is about to expire. Read More...
Re: S40 -vs- C30 [s60leaser]
Hi s60leaser, or should I say C30leaser :). Volvo Finance is not currently running a special lease program on either the S40 or C30. As a result, if you were to lease either of them you will have to do so through an independent bank. The good news is that Volvo is currently providing special cash incentives on these cars when they are leased through independent banks. ... Read More...
Re: S40 being phased out for S60 [s60leaser]
Actually, they may well add up. I got the same pitch from one dealer when I was shopping for my S40. He had a lot of unsold S80s on his lot that he wanted to move. The current model S80 has never sold well, starting from its introduction, and Volvo has heavily subsidized this model with very aggressive leasing and purchase deals from day one. I test drove all three S80 ... Read More...
Re: S40 being phased out for S60 [s60leaser]
Well, I am looking at it from another point of view. I am presently leasing a 2008 S40 which I really love. I am seriously considering buying it out at lease end so that I don't have to get a bloated S40/60 or deal with the new model shakedown problems that Volvos always seem to have. The current S40 is a mature car with no apparent genetic problems that I am aware of. If ... Read More...

Re: Lease Deals 2008 s40? [jb911]
jb911, 2007? My area's 2007 S40's were gone by August of last year. I'm surprised your dealer has any left, much less 9. If a 2008, not sure on the money factor and residual but the current manufacturer-to-dealer incentives for both a lease and a buy are $1500. As of 4/1/08, Volvo greatly reduced the $5000 and $6000 lease incentives that it had been offering. Read More...
Lease Deals 2008 s40?
Does anyone know the current lease deals or incentives available for 2007 s40? My local Volvo dealership has 9 in stock and I'm sure they are very willing to get rid of them. My ideal lease would be 36 months at 12,000 miles per year. What would be the money factor and residual? Are there any manufacturer incentives available? Thanks, Jeff Read More...
Re: March lease numbers? [paulsaz]
Hi paulsaz. I have heard that the only S40 model that Volvo is currently offering lease support on through Volvo Finance is the base 2.4i. Volvo Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease for a stripped 2008 S40 2.4i with 15,000 miles per year are .00008 and 47%, respectively. If you want to lease any other version of this ... Read More...
