Bought a fully loaded 2007 C70 with NAV. Like having a built-in system but the GPS is not as good as some handhelds that I have seen. Does anyone know if Volvo is planning on an update to the software/system? Read More...

Postal this message back in March. In my case both the Volvo dealer AND tire shop recommended an alignment. Also had the bi-xenon headlight issue - took two trips to the dealer to have them adequately adjusted upward. Read on, please... I previously drove a 2001 and 2002 C70 with 17 inch wheels. I lived in Kansas City and loved the way it handled in any type of weather. In Fall of 2006, I purchased a 2007 C70 and have had an expensive problem. My previous care was totaled and I needed a car fast. Oops - should have included that information. I have the 18" Mizram wheels that undoubtedly contribute to the situation since they don't leave much room for rubber. BTW, the tire model # is Hankook Ventus 1004768 (235/40R18) Read More...

When I bought my C70 in May of 2007 I noticed the sticker on the window stating that Volvo equipped the car with high-performance tires and to expect a tread life of around 20,000 miles. It struck me as strange that Volvo would put such tires on any of their vehicles. I bought a Volvo to be safe and because it looked sporty and fun - not because I wanted or needed to go around ... For sure lessors offer different programs in different states. But I suspect that the primary reason that good deals, be they purchase or lease, are available on the C70 at the moment is that there is a lot more dealer inventory of these cars now than a year ago, when dealers were selling them at or close to sticker. We've had our 2007 C70 for 8 months or so, although we haven't put much miles on it. We've had zero problems so far. I had test driven the prev. model C70 during its last year of availability, and the new one definitely feels tighter, with far less cowl shake, etc. I can't comment on the issue of the leather wearing, although my impression is that the leather on the new ... On other C70 or general Volvo forums I have seen multiple posts about Bi-Xenon headlamps being aimed too low, out of the factory. I think in most cases the dealer agreed that they were aimed too low, and did the readjustment. The vertical aim of the headlights is a bit different between when the roof is up, and when it is down.
