It's only been a month or so, but my wife and I love our new C70. Great styling and design, great build quality, and zero initial problems. Sure the engine power is not earth- shaking, but it's plenty adequate. The car handles well, brakes well, looks great, and has lots of distinctive touches. Retractable top is great, the Dynaudio sound is top-of-the-line, and you won't see yourself coming and going, due to the limited volume being built. It truly is two cars in one, and looks as good with the top up as down. It's not an all-out sports car, but rather it's a heck of a stylish, fun, top up/down touring car. That said, it won't be embarrassed in the twisties. Oh yeah - it's safe, too.
Roof mechanism, the smooth curve of the roof line, the stylish "piano" tail-lights, the "scandinavian Design" interior with stainless "waterfall" console, stainless door sills, and two- tone interior, aggressive-looking yet elegant wheels/tires, Volvo safety features, overall solidness.
As others have said, the brake and gas pedals are a little too close, although your foot gets used to it. It would be nice to have a bit more power - I'm sure that this could be done via simple re-programming of the engine control module. It would also be nice to have a 6-speed auto, vs. 5- speed.
