I was driving my car with a semi-broken window. I was having to push it up whenever I would put it down. After about a couple of days of having this issue, it just fell all the down in to the window. Now, I'm being quoted 500+ Euros to have it fixed. Can anyone shed some light on what is a good website to get used Volvo parts off of? and ... Read More
Before you purchase a Volvo C70 try it. Rent one for a week. These vehicles are not selling well at all. For the 2010 C70 there is $6,000 dealer money. Because there is dealer money, this vehicle can be purchased thousands below invoice. These vehicles have one annoying problem, they leak. They leak in car washes and some rain storms. They have had may recalls on these vehicles since 2006.Maybe for ... Read More
I bought my volvo in Sept. 2006. The initial tires were selected by the dealer and were performance tires on 18 inch wheels only rated for 15000 miles. Three years later, I finally have an integrated iPod solution for my 2006 C70. It was challenging, but the team at Al & Ed's on La Cienega in Los Angeles patiently researched options, examined the factory audio system, spoke with vehicle and audio specialists and selected the right combination of cables and software. I believe they are the only ones to date who have been able to successfully complete this type ... Read More
Anyone on the East Coast interested in buying the latest Volvo Navigation DVD's from Navteq with me. I have a 2006 Volvo C70 with the original DVD from a few years ago. I previously drove a 2001 and 2002 C70 with 17 inch wheels. I lived in Kansas City and loved the way it handled in any type of weather. In Fall of 2006, I purchased a 2007 C70 and have had an expensive problem. My previous care was totaled and I needed a car fast. I had my heart set on the Volvo C70 and found one in San Diego (we now ... Read More
I have had the exact same problem with my 2006 C70. The first time it happened was about 9 or 10 months ago on a very windy night on the freeway. The top was up at the time, so I pulled over as soon as I could safely, lowered and raised the ... Read More
We originally went to Sweden and picked up our car in late November 2006- and drove it in the dark, rain, and cold. We loved every second of our adventure! But we never (for good reason) put the top down during our travel. A while back - in June actually, I posted a notification about our retractable HD stalling. It all started with a passenger window not working in sync. This ... Read More

I have a 2007 Gold C70 I picked up in Sweden in September 2006 and have really enjoyed it. Although my wife wants to drive it much more than I had hoped. We took delivery in Sweden in November 2006 of a silver C70 fully loaded, if you could buy it, we did. I think that in comparing the new 328i vert. to the C70, individual preferences and priorities will make everyone have their own winner, whether it is an individual car buyer, or a reviewer. One thing I have noticed in comparison tests involving the C70 is that it's 0-60 acceleration seems to come out a bit slower than the Volvo-claimed number, and also slower than the competing vehicles in the comparison, despite ... Interesting, erisaman. Yes, my car is a US-version T5. I picked it up from the dealer in late January, but I believe that it was manufactured in December 2006 (from one of the stickers on the car), so a little bit after yours. Oh, my mistake! I keep missing the fact that this forum covers the 1st-gen C70 models, and is not just about the new (2006+) C70. My previous comment about rear-seat access was only relevant to the new C70. Sorry about providing misleading info.
First of all, keep in mind we have a small Volvo dealership here, only 4 or 5 C70's alloted to this dealer for 2007 and they only had 3 for 2006. We placed our deposit in July 06. The LDOC or last date of change for the order was at the end of August. We received the VIN and a report that the car was FAC or factory complete on 11/30. ... Read More
I am a little tardy on my report, but better late than never. I picked up the car on November 11, as I mentioned in Post #28. On November 15, with 300 miles on the odometer, I got a flat tire. I've just heard that my car was built in week 200646 - which I assume is the 46th week of 2006. Of course, I also wonder if the issues being dealt with by this recall, affect Stateside cars more so than European. ... Read More

Is it me or do these rollout delays seem a bit more unusual than other vehicle rollouts. It seems that Volvo hasn't even been remotely close to meeting deadlines on this car, even when they give such a broad range. It is the C70. It does look alot like the S40. Beware of Photoshop pictures of the convertible. The link in message 19 shows the actual car. Look for center mounted brake light in the deck lid.
