Summary
What Edmunds.com says
The first "out of the box" Volvo is showing its age, but with its abundance of safety features, comfortable digs and a smooth ride, it's still an appealing luxury convertible.
Pros
Luxurious interior, plenty of safety and comfort features, smooth ride, turbocharged engines.
Cons
Adding options quickly boosts the price, suspension isn't tuned for sporty handling, prone to torque steer during hard acceleration.
What's New for 2004
The only notable changes are two new interior colors -- Volcano Red and Linen White -- that include additional aluminum (red) or birchwood (white) dash inlays.

2004 Volvo C70 LPT 2dr Convertible (2.4L 5cyl Turbo 5A)
Review
This car had been in an accident and had a salvage title, price right, but some concern because of that. However, once I put new tires and new engine mounts on the car (they had deteriorated in hot Florida weather) this car runs like new and is a pleasure to drive. Good pickup, great fun on an open winding road with the top down.
Favorite Features
Quality, one touch top down, roomy, especially back seat, for this type car.
Suggested Improvements
obviously the slow operation of power seats and flimsy cupholders

Really enjoy the car. Being 6'3", I need more head room than most. This car fits me well. Smooth engine, great looks. Only problems: slow acceleration up slight grades sometimes causes the tranny to slip a bit between 2nd and 3rd. No slip at heavier acceleration though. Also, get verbal abuse about the headlight wipers:Could do without them. Actually room under the hood to work on a few things myself. Only other nitpick is the slow power seat feature to enter the back seat.
Favorite Features
Push button top, foldaway top gives nice finished look.
Suggested Improvements
Headlight wipers could go away, slipping tranny, slow back seat motion would drive you crazy if putting kids in the back regularly.

Review
I purchased this car used, with only 2070 miles on it! The car is a pleasure to drive, very sporty looking, and gets great gas mileage (32.3 MPG highway. The quality of the build is typical Volvo, everything fits as it should, and solid as a rock.
Favorite Features
The amazingly smooth power and shifting. The convertible top opening and closing design. The heated seats, and air system are really well designed.
Suggested Improvements
The power seats could move a little faster, but I'm getting used to it.

I've had this car for almost 2 years now and love it. It's comfortable, fun to drive and gets looks everywhere I go.
Favorite Features
HPT! It really goes. The styling really gets a lot of comments.
Suggested Improvements
Better rear seat entry/seat goes too slow. Expensive to maintain. Increase the manufactures warranty. I put a lot of miles on my car and am through the warranty in less than 2 years. Higher grade leather that wears longer.
