I have always owned mid priced - full
sized convertibles (Cutlass / Toyota
Solara / etc) and this has been the
nicest, fun to drive, stylish car I
driven. Good power (with the HT
version) and comfortable. The power
top and automatic boot is wonderful
(ever been caught right before a
downpour ?) One touch and your
back on the road. Add the six disc CD
player and power antenna switch (both
simple to install by yourself) and
this car is ready to have fun.
Style - lots of compliments on the new
dark grey with silver interior.
People don't believe it's a Volvo!
Add the power antenna switch as a
standard item. Unless you know it's
available - your antenna is up even if
listening to the CD player. It takes
five minutes to install with only one
screw to remove. Poor decision not to
install at factory. Otherwise - this
car is great!!
Well - it's 2014 and I still have the 2003 Volvo C70 Convertible.
Believe it or not - it has been in storage for the past 10 years - only to be brought out for eCheck, oil changes and regular maintenance and to put on a few summer miles.
It needed new wipers and tires as the old ones had flat spots - but this thing still runs perfectly!
I took it to Volvo dealer for a check-up and they couldn't believe how perfect it was.
Only 15,700 miles and the paint and interior are pristine!
Over time, I kept adding options (car cover, wind screen, reversible trunk mat, remote control for the radio and matching neck pillow - all factory original items).
I was going to sell it - but they only want to give me book value and it's worth more than that to me - especially now that they quit making them.
