After many miles(145,000), I still
enjoy driving the car. It handles and
brakes exceptionally well for a four-
door sedan. The seats and roominess
make long drives easy as it is fun to
drive. The only complaint is minor. The
power does not match its precise
handling capabilities. The 2.9 inline-6
is smooth and free-reving but this
chasis could handle much more than the
200+hp that came from Sweden. Although
not slow by any means, I would like to
have sports car acceleration to match
the sports car handling.
My favorite feature of this car is the
overall interior feel. The analog
gauges and controls are all in the
right spots and it is not filled with
cheap gimmicks and gadgets that
distract the driver.
The only suggested inprovement would
have to deal with the newer line of
Volvos. Although the models of late
are beautifully sculpted, I prefer the
perfected box. There is no need to
think outside the box, when you've
perfected the box. Bring back the
Swedish Bricks of old.
