Review
Our new 2012 is a great vehicle in many ways. The build quality, ride,handling, comfort and handling are one of the best. It also has many items that come standard that are options on other vehicles in this catagory.
What it falls short in is the lack of available safety options that are available on similar level vehicles. No Blis system, adaptive cruise, surround cameras. All of which are available on the Touareg's European models.
I read where VW execs. said USA buyers would not want to pay extra for these options.
Favorite Features
Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, rain senseing wipers and a huge, great nav. system. Also iit gets great ratings for driving and handling in all types of weather plus highest safety rating score.
Very comfortable and secure ride. Would have liked reverse/down side mirrors.
Side mirrors have a small amber turn signal lights to show vehicles behind that you are turning
Suggested Improvements
Blis system, tri-zone heat and air, adaptive cruise and several more storage compartments and map pockets on the back of each front seats,
An all around camera system would be nice also.
