As I myself purchased a new 2007 Touareg in November 2006 for my wife to replace an '02 Toyota Land Cruiser and know what it feels like to buy a car/SUV that needs repairs every 2 months (but no officially a ) Had the Land Cruiser for over 4 years, 66k miles and not a single issue. Currently, I have an 04 F-150 Lariat that I love. Its been a great truck and have not had any problems with it. I am currently in the market to get an suv as we have a baby on the way. Looking for more safety features and a more "usable" vehicle. I am looking at the Touareg and really like what I see. However, I have heard some rumors off the reliability issues with it. Also, ... Let me start out by saying, NEVER BUY A TOUAREG. I bought a 2004 Touareg at the end of June 2007(used, I know, and will never do that again) with 27K on it. I had problems the second I drove it off the lot. First, I bought it at night so I didn't run the A/C until the next day and when I did it didn't work. Hi bassmiesternj. This is Volkswagen's current official advertised lease for the 2007 Touareg V6. This isn't a bad deal, but like most manufacturers' advertised lease payments I suspect that this one leaves a little meat on the bone so to speak. VW dealership in NY running this special for Touareg V6 2007; "Only $370 a Month! 40 Months. 10k Miles. $4,562 due at signing. MSRP $38,909" Now I would prefer 30 mnths than 40. So I estimated that would cost me an extra $30-$40 more a month. I also thought, for a Touareg V8 2007 what would it cost me? I assume a MSRP of $43000.
