Currently, I have an 04 F-150 Lariat that I love. Its been a great truck and have not had any problems with it. I am currently in the market to get an suv as we have a baby on the way. Let me start out by saying, NEVER BUY A TOUAREG. I bought a 2004 Touareg at the end of June 2007(used, I know, and will never do that again) with 27K on it. I had problems the second I drove it off the lot. First, I bought it at night so I didn't run the A/C until the next day and when I did it didn't work. Took it in for ... Read More
Hi bassmiesternj. This is Volkswagen's current official advertised lease for the 2007 Touareg V6. This isn't a bad deal, but like most manufacturers' advertised lease payments I suspect that this one leaves a little meat on the bone so to speak. If you are in an area that has a decent level of competition and you shop around I suspect that you will be able to negotiate a lower selling price ... Read More

Hello all, I'm looking for a little insight (pros and cons) on the current VW lease offer for a "base" 07' V6 Touareg. The VW offer is as follows: 39-month lease $3,474 due at signing (plus license, tax, options and dealer fees) US cars only. $399 first month's payment, $2,500 down payment, and $575 acquisition fee due at lease inception. Monthly payments total $15,561.00. Based on MSRP of $38,110 for a ... Read More
VW dealership in NY running this special for Touareg V6 2007; "Only $370 a Month! 40 Months. 10k Miles. $4,562 due at signing. MSRP $38,909" Now I would prefer 30 mnths than 40. So I estimated that would cost me an extra $30-$40 more a month. I also thought, for a Touareg V8 2007 what would it cost me? I assume a MSRP of $43000. That's a $5K difference so I ... Read More

"The 2007 Touareg SUV in dealers now is what Volkswagen refers to as an "early 2007." It's essentially unchanged from the 2006 Touareg except for a new base 3.6-liter V6 in place of the '06 model's 3.2-liter engine." The second coming of the 2007 Volkswagen Touareg (Inside Line) Steve, Host
I bought my 2004 V6 Touareg when it first came out. Although I have experienced the typical annoying VW electrical issues, there have been no engine or braking problems. The electrical issues were finally solved after multiple visits (again, I chaulk this up to owning a german car so one must adapt to the frustration tolerance). I have it serviced by the book (service is unusually expensive) and I couldn't be ... Read More

I hope the 2007 Redesign addresses the brake pad noise issue. My NEW 2006 Toureg with 4900 miles has given me a noticable break squeal since the second week I have owned it. Well, problem is 6 days for VW to get it into their "too busy shop" and now 8 days more waiting for an Internationally backordered fuel pump! Dealer said it's on some priority thing but that VW doesn't tell them when it's shipping, etc. So, I called VW on day 12, it's 14th day with no Touareg now, and rep said she would get me status.
