First, I am sorry to hear about your accident. I know that was a while ago, but I hope things are going well. I am looking at the 2010 or 2011 Tiguan, and the hesitation is 1) cargo space, but more importantly 2) reliability. I have read good consumer reviews of the 2010 Tiguan, and Consumer Guide gives it a great review, but I've read reviews about VW products in general ... Read More

Thanks, but I saw that and it doesn't have a date on it so I assumed it was a 2010. It also shows a Wolfsburg edition in the Build feature and I know there is no Wolfsburg for 2011. So it's a 2010 on their site. However, I have since found out from a dealer who knows his stuff that the 2010 and 2011 are identical, the only difference is the ... Read More
Hi, I heard there were a lot of changes coming for the 2011 Tiguan, can anyone tell me what they are? The VW site appears to have photos and specs on just the 2010 even though they have a lease offer on the 2011 that is identical to the 2010, but in their build feature they don't even say what model year the Tiguan is, how weird is that? Kind of ... Read More
Perhaps, we will see deals on the 2010 models? The 2011 will soon arrive! I am seriously thinking about getting one. But, only if it drives and feels like a car. I have not driven one. You've got some research to do. First off, never ever go by monthly payment. Your payment will end up at the END of negotiating. Best way is to find a car on the lot, you'll have a lot more negotiating power. You may give up some options you want, but it will pay off if they are not deal breakers. Don't forget that VW service doesn't care where you bought your ... Read More

I would hardly consider Honda or Toyota cheap. They are considerably less expensive to purchase, while maintaining quality and assembly in countries whre they pay a decent wage to their workers. Rather than resorting to having cars assembled in third world countries (VW's are made in Mexico!!!), and have really CHEAP components that fail prematurely. The inferior component and inferior quality of assembly, even if charged premium pricing for, does not ... Read More
