2009 VW Rabbit Changes
Not too many changes. Some good ones and some weird ones. A big change is the new 3 year warranty with free maintenance. The free service is just 3 oil changes and maybe some other service. hey bro, i understand about wanting a more frugal engine in the bunny, but here are some things you should think about. 1.the 2.5 is a N/a market only engine. this engine can be found nowhere in germany. why? it was built specifically to american tastes, hence the torque. its marketed as the uber city car, and with that much low end, it excels. 2. they did not simply ... with regards to diesels, i dunno how vw's strategy sucks, nissans first diesel is going to be the maxima, and we'll have to wait until 2010 for that, and it certainly won't be economical in every sense of the word. It's looking pretty certain that a Jetta TDI will be available in the March-May 2008 timeframe. There's no reason why the Rabbit TDI shouldn't go on sale at about the same time. The Jetta TDI is supposed to have a 2.0-liter engine -- I assume the Rabbit will get the same engine and not a new version of the recent 1.9-liter engine.
