Congrats on your new Rabbit! I did a similar switch back in April, went from a 2005 Jetta GL 2.0 (with AT though) to a 2007 Rabbit 2 door (with AT also). I liked the Jetta, but had it only 3 months before it was totaled. But I made out OK in the switch, as the Rabbit is clearly a better car than my Jetta. I GOT IT!!! YEAHHH! It is the grey one. 2Door, auto, 16" alloy, MSRP $17,105. There was one green also but I kind of fell for the grey. The saleswoman was professional. Filled the paperwork with the numbers exactly as we agreed via the emails. Did not try to push any additional products like warranties etc... I second your comments. I just bought a 2007 Rabbit 6AT 2-door, dark blue, 34k miles with VW warranty (factory + VW Certified) until April 16, 2013 or 74k miles. I paid $11,050 + T&L (MN, 6.5% tax), or $12,090.50 OTD. (My deal included a $200 coupon from the dealership chain.) The dealer's "special Internet price" on the car was $11,995 + T&L. I have this problem of the bass 'spiking' also on the radio in my 2007 Rabbit. Turns out there is a VW technical bulletin about it, and the dealer did a software update for the radio. It seemed to fix it so far, but I just had it fixed 5 days ago, so we will see, I guess. I thought I heard a small bass spike the other day, but nothing like it was before. It could have been the ...
