While I dont doubt that you may have had some problems I think some of this review is overblown and questionable in terms of accuracy. Either that or your were routinly being ripped off by whoever you took it to for service. An o2 sensor cost less then $100.00 to replace , that part is $35-50 depending on the brand and is a simple matter of unplugging the old one and plugging in the new one, takes a couple of minutes but shops bill out at half hours so the cost goes up. Oil changes, duh all cars need oil changes did you think this would be different? Major maintenance is not every 10k, there are routine maintenance checks every 10k , but they are not $500. The 40k interval service I admit will be $400-500 but the other intervals are far less than that. Again did you think a car shouldn't need scheduled maintenance? All of the other items seam over stated in prices as well, and on top of that from the way described and the miles indicated would have been covered under warrantee. I will agree that vw's do cost more to maintain but what you've described here just does not add up.Report it
