Volkswagen Jetta vs. Honda Accord

Re: 2009 VW Jetta versus Honda Civic [fishpotato]

Hi fishpotato, In my opinion you are comparing two different classes of car. For some reason North Americans are comparing Jetta's to Civic's. This is completely ridiculous and in some way VW supports this. The VW Polo which we are getting in North America soon is the direct competitor to the Civic everywhere else in the world. The Jetta is more Comparable to the ... Read More...

Re: 2009 VW Jetta versus Honda Civic [fishpotato]

Our family has leased 2 Jetta's, and we have an 08 Jetta SE now. We have not had any real issues with them. Just normal routines. The newer models have a great maintenance package now too. I have leased an 06 Accord, I had no issues with it either. I have had way more issues with my 08 G6 I have now than we ever had with a new car combined! I think you will be fine with either ... 2009 VW Jetta versus Honda Civic

I love the way the Jetta looks and drives, but more than anything I want a car that is reliable. I am getting the feeling that this means I should go for the Civic, can you share your opinions? Thanks. Read More...

Jetta Noises

Re: AC noises [ben20433]

I beleive I have an answer for some of the related posts. I recently bought a 2009 jetta. Vibration noise comes at highway speed and comes and goes with the fan or when tailgaiting a truck or not. The vibration frequency does not change with engine speed or road speed. The amplitude changes with wind speed. It can be felt on the steering wheel and pedals. First I thought ... Read More...

Hello strokerkriby1. VW Credit's October buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 Jetta Wagon SE with 12,000 miles per year are .00084 and 46%, respectively. The residual value for a lease with only 10,000 miles per year is 1% higher. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum Read More...

Volkswagen TDI Models Prices Paid and Buying Experience

Re: Buying 2010 Jetta TDI [usma78]

I had mine installed a couple of months ago (2009 Tdi SportWagon 6peed manual) The shop did the installation and I did the wiring and module installation. VW just came out with a bulletin that specifies towing and hitch weight limits - just got mine in the mail from VW the other day. Make sure you get one that has 3 point attachments (left/right and spare tire well ... Read More...

VW Jetta TDI

Re: Custom Weathertec mats for 2009 Jetta TDI Sportwagen [tangledup625]

The "monster mats" offered by VW are VERY good. They have deep groves to hold a lot of water/slush/salt. as a bonus - they are guaranteed to fit your VW perfectly. In the Jetta, Gulf and NB (New Beetle) thay my family has, the "Monster Mats" pop into the existing floor stubs. Read More...
