2009 Volkswagen Jetta TDI 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl Turbodiesel 6M)

Review

I was a good car for 79,500 miles.
Did all routine maintenance plus a new intake manifold but this was not enough to keep it going.
It need a whole new engine after 79,500 miles.

Best Features

Its really a nice car if it would run.

Worst Features

Reliability of 1 is not good enough. A car that doesn't not run after 79,500 miles is a waste of money.

Mine died at 78,000 with the same problem. Needed $8,000 in repair after an entire overhaul of the engine at 67,000. Worst piece of crap on the road. Not to mention a $23k price tag. I'll never buy another VW. I don't have $50,000 to spend on an economical car.

Hi I read carefully your comment, may we know the name of your machanic so we can avoid that person. I invite you to check on the net the price of all part and see by yourself that your repair cost was way over a reasonable price. Most the people I know keep their Jetta over 400K without any issue other than normal maintenance. We own one and never experience this. My father have 3 and my neighboard is at is 7 one without any issue.
